Spencer Halpin is an independent filmmaker and documentarian, based in New York City.

An artist first and foremost, Spencer explored oil painting, creative and poetic writing, and music production before committing to a career in film as an award-winning indy director. Best known for his documentary, Moral Kombat, the first feature-length film shot entirely in high-definition. He seamlessly blended the art of the video game world and the moral issues they face.

Capturing green screen interviews with game creators, leading executives, politicians and advocates created a compelling and objective narrative. The film examines the controversial issue of violence in video games and has garnered film festival awards and critical praise.

Spencer's next project mixes media and our preconceptions of the spoken narrative in HD Puppets, a biographical series which uses puppets to explore weighty and topical issues.
